Wild West Traders maintains one of the largest in-door pistol ranges in the state of Georgia with twelve, well-lighted, ventilated and climate controlled 25-yard lanes featuring an electronic target retrieval system. We're extremely proud of our range; in fact, our customers tell us it's the cleanest range they've ever seen.

For range use we allow pistols up to 45 caliber, and rifles that shoot pistol calibers. Twenty-two (22) calibers are allowed but NO magnums. Sorry, we do not allow rifles, air guns, paint guns, or shotguns. A complete list of Range Rules may be found at the bottom of this page.

Anyone under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at least 25 years of age. The only exception to this age limit is military personnel (Active and Reserve) wherein the shooter must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age. Young shooters (under 18 years of age) are only allowed to shoot on the range with their parent or guardian; one young shooter per adult. No children are allowed on the range nor are they to be left unaccompanied in the showroom while adults shoot.

Range Rules

1. All federal, state, and local firearm laws must be obeyed.
2. Gun safety is YOUR first and foremost responsibility! Be sure your firearm is safe to operate, and know how to use it safely.
3. All shooters, and their guardian if applicable, must complete and sign the Wild West Traders, LLC Gun Shop & Shooting Range Admission ticket; read, understand and sign in the section that RELEASES WILD WEST TRADERS, LLC FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY while on Wild West Traders' property.
5. Commands issued by Wild West staff must be obeyed immediately and without question.
6. All firearms not on the firing line must be holstered or unloaded with their action open and the magazine removed; otherwise, the firearm should be unloaded and encased.
7. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times before immediately entering and while on the range.
8. A maximum of two people are allowed per shooting bay/lane.
9. No one is permitted forward of the firing line (the bench) at any time.
10. This is primarily a pistol range and has limited caliber use. Rifles chambered for typical pistol calibers are allowed. Long rifles chambered in .22 calibers are allowed.
11. Not allowed: .41 or .44 magnum loads, or any cartridge larger than .45 calibers. No 22 caliber magnums. No .17, 5.7 x 28, or shotguns, nor muzzle loading firearms may be fired on the range. No fully automatic Class III firearms permitted. Tracer, armor piercing, steel and military surplus ammo is not allowed on the range.
12. No rapid fire, double tapping, or shooting a controlled pair allowed. Shot speed should be one round per second. No fast drawing is allowed.
13. Drawing from a holster is not allowed unless you are active duty police, security, or military participating in a training class or range-sanctioned event.
14. Only one weapon may be fired at a time.
15. Food, tobacco, and beverages are prohibited on the range at all times.
16. No one under the influence or suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be allowed on the range.
17. Pregnant women, or people subject to seizures, are not allowed on the range.
18. Always keep firearms pointed downrange and unloaded until ready to use.
19. Treat every gun as if it is loaded, and keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
20. Do not lay a firearm down on the bench rest unless it is unloaded.
21. Do not hand a loaded firearm to another person.
22. Use only the correct ammunition for your firearm.
23. Only approved paper targets may be used on the range. We reserve the right to prohibit targets we deem offensive or unsafe. Use the appropriate size target, placed at eye level or lower, to ensure that your shot strikes the backstop and not the floor, ceiling, or target carrier. Shoot only at your target. Firing a shot that results in damage to any range equipment may result in a repair fine, and/or removal from the range.
24. Do not remove a jammed or malfunctioning firearm from the firing point. Lay the gun down on the bench with the barrel pointed down range. Then ask Wild West range personnel for assistance.
25. When finished firing, unload your gun before leaving the shooting point.
26. You may collect your own brass that is on or behind the firing line. Brass from other shooters and all brass that falls in front of the firing line may not be collected unless authorized by Wild West range personnel or shop staff.
27. Always wash your face and hands immediately after shooting your firearm. Our public restroom is located to the left just outside the range and is available for your use.

If you observe any violation of these range rules, please bring it to the attention of any Wild West Traders staff member and we will take corrective action. It is our goal to have a completely safe range for you to enjoy every visit.
